Technology Lending Program

The Halifax Helpers is excited to be lending Chromebooks to students to help access our services throughout the school year. The application period is currently CLOSED.

​To date we have distributed 79 devices, including Chromebooks and MiFi sticks, to K-12 students across the province to help them participate in our programs.The program is currently delivered, partially, in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Atlantic.​

The Halifax Helpers operates in Mi’kma’ki, the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. These lands are covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship, which were originally signed by the Mi’kmaq, Welostoqiiyik, and Passamaquody People with the British Crown in 1726. We are all Treaty People. 

 

We also acknowledge that people of African descent are historic Nova Scotian residents who have made meaningful contributions to our province for over 400 years.
